Application Fee

Application fee for local applicants and non-local applicants is HK$300 and HK$400 respectively which is non-refundable and non-transferable unless the programme chosen has been cancelled by the University. You can pay the application fee by credit card (Visa or Master Card) through the University's Online Application System on www.eduhk.hk/acadprog/online/.

Tuition Fee

This programme is offered on a self-funded basis. The tuition fee for the whole programme is HK$189,800 i.e., $7,908 per credit point for 2026/27 academic year. Tuition fees paid are normally not refundable or transferable.

Scholarship Application

  1. Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies (FTSS)


    The HKSAR Government has launched the Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies (FTSS), starting from the 2025/26 academic year. This scholarship scheme aims to attract outstanding local students to pursue postgraduate studies in key areas that will drive the development of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. 

    FTSS awardees can receive tuition subsidies for up to HK$100,000 for designated taught postgraduate programmes, regardless of the actual study period and mode of study.

    In 2025/26 and 2026/27, the MA(VAECP) programme will be supported under the FTSS.

    For example, if you are an awardee from the Master of MA(VAECP) programme (24 credit points) for the 2026/27 academic year: The tuition fee is HK$189,800, of which HK$100,000 is subsidised by FTSS, leaving HK$89,800 to be paid by the awardee. (The calculation is based on the required 24 credit points of the MA(VAECP) programme. Any extra credit points taken will not be covered by the FTSS.)


    Successful awardee(s) must be admitted MA(VAECP) student(s). Nomination of qualified candidate(s) for the Scholarship will be made by Programme Team according to the verified students’ admission application documents. Awardee(s) will be informed of the results individually.

  2. MA(VAECP) Scholarship
    Four scholarships of HK$10,000 each will be offered per academic year to MA(VAECP) students. Eligible MA(VAECP) students will be nominated to apply for the scholarship after releasing assignment grades of first semester studies. For details, please refer to the Scholarship Protocol.
